Praying for the electoral process is our first step in seeing the fulfillment of 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We need to be obedient in prayer before our leaders are selected. We want to invite God into the process of electing those leaders who will ultimately allow us to lead “peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)
Join us in prayer for 15 days through, “Pray.Vote”
National Issues
God, we come to You because the people of this nation and everything in it belongs to You. You are the one who put us in this nation, at this particular time, to glorify Your name. But people in this country are turning against each other. We no longer live like brothers and sisters. Brother has turned against brother, sister against sister, and children against their parents. Your Word says that if we humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways you will heal our land. We pray that citizens will recognize authority and obey it, even when we may not agree with certain things. Help us to use peaceful and legal means to address issues that concern us. We pray that You stop those who are working to stir up trouble and violence and who want to bring harm to our government and nation. May we work together in harmony for a better nation. We also ask that You heal our land of Covid-19 and all the effects upon the people in our nation. Restore us and heal us in all areas of our lives. May You be given all the Glory. Amen. (Matthew 10:2, 2 Chron. 7:14)
