Praying for the electoral process is our first step in seeing the fulfillment of 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We need to be obedient in prayer before our leaders are selected. We want to invite God into the process of electing those leaders who will ultimately allow us to lead “peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)
Join us in prayer for 15 days through, “Pray.Vote”
Candidates + Leaders
Lord, may our candidates and leaders gain respect for one another. Help them find common ground and ways to be mutually supportive of one another. We ask for the salvation of those who will be in leadership of our nation, and for You to remove any envy or selfish ambitions. May the candidates and leaders be surrounded by godly advisors. Let each candidate focus on issues that we face as a nation and not to personally attack other candidates. May there be peace among us all. Amen. (James 3:16, Psalm 111:10, Gal. 5:15)
