Praying for the electoral process is our first step in seeing the fulfillment of 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We need to be obedient in prayer before our leaders are selected. We want to invite God into the process of electing those leaders who will ultimately allow us to lead “peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)

Nations
God, help us to be a nation that fears you and is not afraid to acknowledge that you are the one true God in which our nation was founded. May there be a holy fear of God that sweeps across our nation, leading us back to a place of wisdom and walking with You. Help us to stop looking at worldly solutions and to focus on Your solutions. We pray that truth will become valued again in American society and our leaders of this nation will seek your wisdom. Amen. (James 3:17, John 8:32, Isaiah 50:10)
