Praying for the electoral process is our first step in seeing the fulfillment of 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We need to be obedient in prayer before our leaders are selected. We want to invite God into the process of electing those leaders who will ultimately allow us to lead “peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)

The Environment
God, we thank You for blessing us with such amazing beauty in nature and providing for us from the land. Help us to be diligent to preserve what You have given us. Help us, as individuals and as a nation, to be wise stewards of Your creation. Let us not destroy the beauty and function of what You have entrusted to us. Give our leaders wisdom for laws that will protect this precious environment and all our natural resources. We ask that you stop any and all devastation that is currently coming against our environment like climate change, wildfires, hurricanes and storms and other natural disasters. Keep Your land and all that live here protected under Your care. Help us to be more careful with this amazing gift of nature. Amen. (Gen. 2:15, Ps. 24:1-2)
