Praying for the electoral process is our first step in seeing the fulfillment of 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We need to be obedient in prayer before our leaders are selected. We want to invite God into the process of electing those leaders who will ultimately allow us to lead “peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)

Integrity + Humility
Father, we come before You today to pray for our government leaders to walk in humility and integrity. May they begin to put the needs of others before themselves and be true servant leaders. May they not be so proud that they are deaf to the wisdom of others but instead seek out wise counsel and follow it. We ask that these leaders not be self-promoting and prideful. We pray that they be honest, morally upright, and have strong godly principles, according to Your standard of righteousness. Do not allow them to accept bribes or work for their own means, but to know that they work for the people of the nation, they serve You. Amen. (Heb. 13:18, 2 Cor 8:21, Prov. 21:3)
